The funeral of Isaac Williams, a miner who died at St. Mary's Hospital November 13, 1887, took place yesterday from the M. E. Church. Dr. Iliff spoke very eloquently concerning the deceased. A long line of carriages filled with his relatives and friends followed the remains to their last resting place in Mount Olivet cemetery.

However, there is a picture reputedly of John and taken in Butte stating that he died there on 26 Dec 1908. The Butte directory lists: 1895-1897 John B Williams, Miner, living at 24 E Woolman. 1900-1902 John Williams, Timberman at the Original mine boarding at the rear of 24 E Woolman.
