MARRIAGE: Nora Beatrice Pascoe was the first wife of Ernest Watters. The marriage is recorded in the GRO indexes for the Penzance Registration District for the March quarter of 1904 under reference 5c 373. The couple are recorded as Ernest Henry Walters and Nora Beatrice Pascoe.

The couple had at least 5 daughters (Viola, Iris, Ilene, Sylvia, Isobel) and three sons (another Ernest Henry, Burt (who was killed in a motorcycle accident near Gloucester) and one other (Cecil). This family had moved to Arizona in 1908 where some of the children were born before returning to the UK in 1910, and living in Gloucester. Nora died in Gloucester and her widowed husband then returned to Cornwall leaving young Ernest behind in Gloucester, in the care of the church choirmistress! Young Ernest soon married Florence Gardener and had two children, Brian Wilfred Ernest in 1929 and Derek Haydn. The family remained in Gloucester.
