I William Garland of No 80 Upper Stamford street, Blackfriars road in the County of Surrey being of sound mind and understanding do make this my last Will and Testament in writing. I herby revoke all other Wills and Testamentary Dispositions by me heretofore made, and I hereby bequeath unto my five daughters Eliza Jane Monkhouse, Caroline Grace Argall, Sophia Shury, Harriett Amelia Garland, and Emily Mylrea, all that the Policy of Assurance numbered 22941 offered me on my life in the Equitable Assurance Office and all benefit and advantage to arise therefrom at my decease and also all the other property that I may possess of or be entitled to at my decease (except my watch, rings, household furniture and silver plate, china and have my Household Effects) upon trust to make and (unreadable) the same ____ as soon as convenient may be into money and out of the produce thereof when so _______ I direct that my executrixes heretofore named in the first place, to pay unto Miss Mary Ann Leeds the sum of one hundred pounds which I am indebted unto her, and in the next place I direct my said Executrixes to lay out and invest a sum of an amount not exceeding nine hundred pounds in their own names or in the names of the survivor or survivors of them in the purchase of an annuity or yearly sum of fifty pounds for and during the life of my son, Henry Thomas Senderby Garland, and I further direct that my said Executrixes do stand possessed of this said annuity upon a rate ____ to apply the same towards the routine(?) maintenance and only that taking care of him and for part of money during his life and I further direct that my said Executrixes shall _______ of all the rest and residue of the said trust property upon them to apply the same to my dear wife Elizabeth absolutely and in the event of my surviving my said son Henry Thomas Sinderby Garland I do so give and bequeath all my said property unto my said wife Elizabeth and as regards my watch, rings and a my household Furniture, Linen, Plate, Glass, China and other my household effects I do therefore give and bequeath the same unto my said wife as her absolute property. In case I should survive my said wife then I direct that the property by this my Will bequeathed to her shall be divided among my said five daughters in a equal shares and proportions share and share alike and in the event of the demise of any or other of my said daughters dying in my lifetime I hereby direct that the children of each of them so dying shall take the share to which its mother would have been entitled on outliving me. And it is my desire that at my demise? my mortal remains may be interred decently but without funeral pomp and I hereby appoint my said daughters Eliza Jane Monkhouse, Caroline Grace Argall, Sophia Shury, Harriett Amelia Garland and Emily Mylea Executrixes of this my last Will and Testament in which whereof I have hereto set my hand this twenty first day of September 1834.

MEMORANDUM I hereby direct that the annuity of fifty pounds by me is given for the support and maintenance of my son Henry Thomas Senderby Garland nor any part thereof shall be assignable or transferrable by him and that any assignments or transfers thereof or any part thereof shall be wrong? now it being my intention that the same shall be a provision for him during his life and I direct that this memorandum shall be taken and considered as a Codicil to my will dated this twenty fourth day of September 1834. It is my desire that any two of my daughters shall be sufficient to act in case it should not be convenient for the others to be present and also I desire that my wife Elizabeth so long as she lives shall have the whole and sole management of my son Henry Thomas Senderby Garland both in surviving and in paying according to the property mentioned and I request that this memorandum shall be considered as a Codicil to my Will. APPEARED PERSONALLY William Allder of No. 6 Goswell Road in the County of Middlesex, Merchant, and Mary Ann Leeds of No. 90 in Handford Street Blackfriars Road in the County of Surrey Spinster and made Oath that they know and were well acquainted with William Garland late of Bangor North Wales in the County of Carnarvon deceased, for some years before and at the time of his death and also well acquainted with his manner and character of handwriting and subscription having seem him frequently write and write and subscribe his name and having now with care and attention viewed and perused the paper writing thereto annexed purporting to be and _____ the last Will and Testament with two Codicils thereto of the said deceased that the first Codicil beginning thus "Memorandum I hereby direct that the annuity of fifty pounds" adding thus "And I direct that this memorandum shall be taken and considered as a Codicil to my Will dated this twenty fourth day of September 1834" and this subscribed Wm "Garland" the second codicil beginning thus "Memorandum It is my desire" ending thus "and I request that this memorandum shall be considered as a Codicil to my Will dated this seventeenth day of November 1835" and thus subscribed "Wm. Garland" They these deponents say they do verify and in their ________ believe the subscriptions "Wm. Garland and Wm.
